How are you holding up, sweet readers? This post is about checking in with each other. For instance, I never thought I would still be writing a daily resilience dispatch on day 37. When we started sheltering at home, I thought it would maybe last a month at most. Boy, was I wrong.
This virus has a timing of its own. Our job as citizens and caring people—as far as I can tell—is to stay clear of it, and not pass it on. For as long as it takes.
The most challenging part for me is not seeing my friends and being among my small town community. I miss going to the coffee shop. I miss going to the grocery store without wearing survival gear. I miss those days when I didn’t walk around in fear of contracting a virus that might kill me.
The least challenging part for me is staying at home. As a writer, I’ve worked from home for decades. I love my job. I love my home. So, I am lucky in a lot of ways.
What do you find the most challenging about the Covid-19 experience? What do you not mind and maybe even welcome?
Love,
Susan
