Do you like National Geographic Nature Photos? I know I do. As you’ve probably noticed, this post has nothing to do with writing or books, but I thought these photographs were beautiful. And beauty inspires me to write something beautiful and artful and powerful. Photos are nice, but I also like to get out in the forest to inspire myself. But when it’s too cold or rainy or snowy to do that, a really well done photo will do the trick.
My favorite is the one with the lush, green landscape and the red umbrella. A close second is the lightning. Powerful! Which one of these National Geographic Nature Photos is your favorite?

Well Liz liked the azalea garden and the swan as 1 and 2. Personally i liked the snowy scene and how the photographer captured falling snow. it reminded us of a Rockwell painting. Second for me was the dog. I think i was taken by surprise by the eyes. it took me a moment to recognize the dog…the eyes alone could have been monkey or bear.

Despite my insistance of being a nature lover, I’m quite smitten with the nighttime cityscape. I love the soft etherealness it conveys. The cormorant paying homage to the sea is delightful and definitely brought a smile.
