One-on-one Writing Tutorials and Mentoring
Need some one-on-one advice and guidance?
Susan meets with individual writers for tutorials, in person or online via Skype, and has worked with writers of all ages (from teens to 90-year-olds). This is writing mentoring and tutorials by a professional writer and a former psychotherapist, gentle and solid guidance for your writing career.

One-on-one tutorials are especially good for writers who are in need of confidence and guidance to improve their work-in-progress and make sure they are on track with a great story, poem or memoir.
Addressing the needs of writers at their own level of writing, Susan draws upon their strengths and address their challenges. She also makes suggestions about possible improvements, as well as offer strategies to help them organize and complete whatever they hope to write.
For those writers who are interested, Susan can help with additional areas such as how to:
- put together a query letter
- submit to agents/publishers
- self-publish
- build an author platform
- develop your social networking presence
Susan’s work is based on my student’s specific goals, whether a beginning writer or a committed professional.
Fiction writers, memoir writers, poets and nonfiction writers have all benefited from her 17 years of writing experience, as well as my ten years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Helping others understand the process of writing and how they present themselves on the page–and ultimately to a world of readers–is something Susan feels passionate about.
