Book Video for Seeking Sara Summers

by Susan Gabriel on September 16, 2008

The internet is revolutionizing how people sell books. I’ve even read that pretty soon book-signings and readings by authors in bookstores will become obsolete. Authors are being interviewed online, they’re doing readings from their own computers, they have groups springing up around their books on facebook and myspace, etc, and they are making video trailers to encourage our visual, movie-loving culture to buy their books.

I have to admit that for an extreme introvert like me, this revolution in the book world is good news. Stay at home to promote my books? Love it. Interviewed while sitting at my desk with my house slippers on? Adore it. Chat with readers of my books online and get direct feedback? Excellent.

Don’t get me wrong, I will still show up wherever I might find readers and promote my books the old-fashioned way. But at the same time I am riding the wave of the internet revolution.

That said, please take 2 minutes and enjoy my trailer for Seeking Sara Summers. And let me know what you think of it!
